QLD: Father appeals for wanted man to come forward

BRISBANE, Jan 15 AAP - The father of a man now listed as Queensland's most wanted following
a Gold Coast shooting yesterday morning has made an emotional appeal for him to surrender to
police.

Police are seeking 28-year-old John William Phillips over the shooting of a man at a home
in Ashmore about 11.30am yesterday.

Police say Lloyd Husher was shot in the chest and stomach with a 9mm pistol and was
fighting for his life in the Gold Coast Hospital in a critical condition.
