Vic: Autopsy to be conducted as police hunt for killer
An autopsy will be conducted today to determine the cause of death of an elderly womanwhose body was found in her Melbourne flat yesterday.
The homicide squad will also comb the area around the woman's home in Malvern Eastfor any clues left by her killer, or a murder weapon.
The woman, in her late 60s, was found dead by a family member at 1pm (AEST) yesterday.
Police say she'd suffered head injuries and her flat appears to have been ransacked.
